Hamadan Malayer Rug From Iran
A rug woven in the 1960s around Malayer in the southeastern Hamadan province.
A beautiful art piece with a deep madder and navy contrast, and a pattern called Herati, in which leaves surround flowers painted all over.
The unified color scheme in calm tones gives it a sense of weight, and just laying it down makes it a gorgeous piece with a strong presence.
